The course in Macroeconomic Theory and Analyses is intended for fourth-year students who have successfully completed the introductory course in Macroeconomics in the second year of studies, as well as the courses in Principles of Economics and in Microeconomics. This means that students should already be familiar with the basic concepts and the terminology of economic theory.
The course expands and deepens students’ knowledge of the functioning of the national economy by exploring the standard macroeconomic models in much more detail than the introductory course, following the evolution of the interpretation of the various links by the different schools of economic thought. It also provides opportunities for students to develop their own analytical skills.
